Over four thousand years of history, the Vietnamese people have overcome numerous challenges and  hardships in the wars against foreign invasions and dominations as well as in defending and building their Motherland. The Vietnamese people, like other peoples in the world, love peace, freedom, independence and development, and they are determined to achieve these ends.
Located in the economically dynamic region, with the population of more than 80 million, living in 330,000 km2 of land, Vietnam has a number of advantages such as rich natural resources and  beautiful landscapes to develop their industries and enhance their services sector, particularly tourism.
 Since the “Renovation Policy” in the middle of 1980s, Vietnam has recorded important achievements in the process of development and integration into the regional and international economy. The average of  7 % annual growth rate of GDP in the last 2 decades has resulted the great changes in the structure of the economy in the framework of  industrialized orientation.
Vietnam and the Philippines, both members of ASEAN, together with other ASEAN countries and countries in the region and the world, we have and will work hard for  peace, development and prosperity of each country as well as of ASEAN, the region and  the world.
With the desire to help readers a better understanding about Vietnam, the Website is designed to provide various information of Vietnam and Vietnam-Philippines relations. It is our hope that the Website may be of some help to Philippine tourists and investors. It is also our  hope that the Website could be of some assistance to Vietnamese tourists and investors interested in the Philippines, a beautiful country of islands, closed to Vietnam.
