Accompanying the Minister are high-ranking officials of Ministry of Public Security. H.E. Mr. Vu Xuan Truong, Ambassador of Vietnam to the Philippines and some officials of Vietnam Embassy also joined the Delegation.

Bilateral meeting and discussions were held here in the Philippines between Minister Le Hong Anh, Secretary Ronaldo Puno and the two respective High Ranking Delegations. The two sides reviewed the implementation of bilateral agreements and agreed on measures be taken to speed up the cooperation between the Ministry and Department.

During the official visit, Minister Le Hong Anh  paid a courtesy call to Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo expressed her pleasure to see Vietnam-Philippine multi faceted relationship expansion. Madam President also thanked Vietnamese Government and people for supplying rice to the Philippines in times of urgent needs. Minister Le Hong Anh and Secretary Puno expressed their thanks to Madam President for her encouragements to the cooperation between the two ministries. Minister Le Hong Anh also sent the best wishes of President Nguyen Minh Triet and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to Madam President. 

Secretary Ronaldo V.Puno,  Chief of Philippines National Police and other high-ranking officials warmly received Minister Le Hong Anh and other high-ranking officials of Ministry of Public Security in solemn ceremony. A part from these official activities, the delegation also visited Embassy of Vietnam in the Philippines, Philippine National Police Headquarter and  National Police Academy.
